INTRODUCTION

The Sindh Educational Endowment Fund (SEEF) was created in 2002-03. it is managed through Trust called Sindh Education Endowment fund Trust.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

To provide support and assistance to impart education and award scholarship to the deserving and needy students of the Province of Sindh to enable them to complete their Graduate and Post-Graduate education in the field of Information Technology, Engineering, Medicine and Business Administration.

POWERS OF BOARD OF TRUSTEES

To approve the scholarship to the deserving meritorious and needy students
(fresh/Renewal).
To allocate the number of seats to the institution enrolled in SEEF.
To formulate the policy for award of SEEF scholarship from time to time.
To recommend the nomination/removal of any person as or from member of Board of Trustee of SEEF.
To delegate power to any of the member of the Board of Trustee.
To award scholarship to the poor, needy and meritorious student at any stage of the study.
To frame and amend the eligibility criteria for grant of endowment scholarship.
To include any of the institute in the panel of SEEF.
To monitor the endowment fund account and to call Bank statement of account at any time.
The board shall meet quarterly, and quorum shall be at least five(05) from which one member must be outside from the Government Department, whereas the member/secretary of the of the Board shall be DDO of the SEEF.
To recommend/propose the allocation of funds to the government for enhancing the endowment fund.

POWERS OF THE CHAIRMAN OF BOARD

To approve renewal case of any of the scholar on the recommendation of College Education Department, if the scholar is fulfilling the required criteria and place the same case before the SEEF Board of Trustee meeting for post facto-approval.
To call meeting of SEEF Board of Trustee in any time other than quarterly meeting.
To enquire any misappropriation at any stage.
To appoint enquiry committee for conduct of enquiry in any case of SEEF.
To appoint an interview committee for conduct of interviews of the applicant in the institutions.
To exercise the powers of the Board in litigation/ court matter.
To grant/ approve the Honoraria of any of the member of Board of Trustees as well as interview committee and supporting staff.
To check and monitor the co-signatory for issuance of the cheques.
To issue permission of issuance of cheques of approved cases /amount of the Scholarships to the Institution by the Board of Trustee of the SEEF.

PROCESS FOR AWARD OF ENDOWMENT SCHOLARSHIP

Applications are invited for Endowment Fund Scholarship through advertisement in leading newspapers.(See 2019 Scholarship announcement).

The eligibility for endowment fund scholarship is as following:

Applicant’s Parents/ Guardian Annual net income would not be more than 1.5 million.
Minimum GPA of applicant would be 2.5 or 60%.
Domicile of Sindh Province.
Admission in Local University included in panel of SEEF.

MODE OF PAYMENT

University/Institute submits invoices of the selected students for payment of full 100% tuition fee.
Payment is made directly to the Universities/Institutes through cross cheque.
The expenditures are placed before the Board of Trustees for perusal.
